Women hold the top two positions in the Choctaw Nation's gaming operation, a field dominated by men.
Janie Dillard is director of the enterprise. She quickly rose through the ranks after starting as a floor supervisor at the tribe's first bingo hall.
"Even though I never guessed we'd go where we are, I knew immediately that what I wanted to do was be involved in our gaming operations," Dillard tells The Tulsa World.
Gwin also got her start at a bingo hall. At Choctaw gaming, people start out at one point and can work their way up," she she told the paper.
The tribe employs about 3,000 people at its gaming facilities.
