Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick (D) has not made a decision whether to support gaming despite a news report saying he has already done so.
Patrick says the state will have to wait until after Labor Day for his decision. He is in still on vacation and is weighing the matter, a spokesperson said.
If Patrick backs legalized gaming, that would mean the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe and the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe have a right to the same games. Both tribes want to open casino resorts.
