Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe secures more options

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts secured options to another 205 acres for a potential casino resort.

The move brings the tribe's total land holdings in Middleboro to 531 acres. The tribe is submitting an application to have all the land placed in trust, a spokesperson said.

Last month, voters in the town overwhelmingly approved a casino agreement with the tribe.
