Ho-Chunk Nation fails to submit compact payment

The state of Wisconsin says the Ho-Chunk Nation owes more than $70 million in compact payments.

The tribe signed a compact to share Class III revenues. But the tribe says a state Supreme Court decision voided the agreement. A new deal hasn't been reached.

Most other tribes have made payments under the compact. The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe paid $29.4 million on Monday.
