Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe offers multiple casinos

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe will offer to host several casinos in Massachusetts as long as it is granted exclusive rights to do so, The Boston Herald reports.

The tribe already plans to open one casino once its initial reservation is taken into trust. A spokesperson said multiple casinos will be considered in exchange for exclusivity and revenue sharing with the state.

It's not clear whether an exclusivity agreement would block the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe from opening a casino. The tribe has expressed interest in Class III gaming.
