Kansas tribes face increased competition with the expansion of gaming in the state. The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, the Kickapoo Tribe, the Iowa Tribe and the Sac and Fox Nation operate casinos. They will be joined by as many as four casinos and slot machines at up to three racetracks. The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation isn't taking the challenge lightly and has filed a lawsuit against the state. "We think it's unconstitutional," Chairwoman Tracy Stanhoff told The Topeka Capital-Journal. The Kickapoo Tribe and the e Sac and Fox Nation are jumping into the fray by competing for one of the new casinos. If approved, the tribes will have to share revenues with the state. Meanwhile, the Iowa Tribe is proposing to expand its gaming enterprise with a $340 million casino, hotel and restaurant project. Get the Story:
