Mohegan Tribe buys golf course for $4.4M

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut has purchased a golf course for $4.4 million.

After years of negotiation, the tribe's gaming authority completed the deal three weeks ago. The Pautipaug Country Club will now be known as the Mohegan Sun Country Club at Pautipaug.

The golf course is about 15-20 minutes from the Mohegan Sun casino, The Hartford Courant reported. The nearby Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation owns two golf courses, both across the street from its Foxwoods Resort Casino.
