Navajo Nation confirms first gaming executive

The Navajo Nation has confirmed its first gaming executive.

Robert Winter, a New Jersey lawyer who has worked with several tribes, has a two-year contract with the tribe. His goal is to get the tribe's first casinos up and running, although it's not clear when that will happen.

"It's hard for me to say when it actually will occur, but I would agree that type of temporary structure doesn't take long to get up,'' Winter said, the Associated Press reported.

The tribe has identified six casino sites. The first one would be in Church Rock, New Mexico.
