Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-California) introduced S.1347, the Lytton Gaming Oversight Act of 2007, on Wednesday. The bill allows the Lytton Band of Pomo Indians to continue operating a Class II facility in the city of San Pablo. But if the tribe wants to engage in Class III gaming, it has to go through the Section 20 process of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. The bill also prevents the tribe from expanding the "exterior physical measurements" of Casino San Pablo while it is being used as a Class II facility. The provision doesn't appear to apply to the tribe if it goes to Class III gaming. Chairwoman Margie Mejia said the tribe supports the bill.
