Nambe Pueblo cites NIGC approval for casino

Nambe Pueblo in New Mexico says the National Indian Gaming Commission has approved the environmental assessment for a new casino.

The tribe says the NIGC concluded the 50,000-square-foot casino would not have a significant impact on the environment. The analysis was conducted because the tribe has entered into a management contract with Full House Resorts Inc.

NIGC will now review the contract, as required by the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. The tribe has yet to begin construction on the project.
