The Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians has hired a new general manager for its casino.
Stephen Lloyd comes to the tribe from the Cherokee Nation, where he served as vice president of gaming operations. He helped the tribe bring in new Class III games under the tribal-state compact in the last three years.
Before that, Lloyd was director of operations at the casino owned by the Ak-Chin Indian Community in Arizona. He also helped bring in Class III games during his ten-year tenure.
"He brings a wealth of casino experience, and technical knowledge necessary to take our popular casino to the next level," Augustine Chairwoman MaryAnn Green told The Palm Springs Desert Sun.
