Seminole Tribe sued over purchase of Hard Rock

The Seminole Tribe of Florida was sued by its former casino partner over the $965 million purchase of the Hard Rock enterprise.

The tribe bought the Hard Rock name, along with several hotels, cafes and casinos, last month. The Cordish Company, however, claims the tribe conspired with Hard Rock executives to keep the price down and prevent others from bidding.

The Cordish Co. built two Hard Rock casinos for the tribe. The tribe has since sued the company, claiming their agreement violated the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. Cordish has responded that tribal leaders are greedy.
