Amid rising costs of the project, the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut has reduced the size of the new hotel at its Mohegan Sun Casino.
The hotel tower will reach 39 stories instead of 43. It will have 922 rooms, about 80 less than originally planned.
Casino executives also said the cost of the project comes to $925 million. That's $185 million more than originally estimated due to rising prices of building materials.
The tribe's gaming authority reported an increase of profits on table games and slot machine revenues.
Net income was $173 million, up $18 million from the year prior.
