The city council in Monroe, Ohio, wants to revisit its casino agreement with the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma.
The city entered into a deal with the tribe in 2005. But the tribe changed casino sites and asked for an amendment to the agreement.
Council members, however, voted down a resolution to amend the agreement. Instead, they want to see a new deal in order to address site-specific issues.
The tribe filed a land claim in Ohio in hopes of settling for gaming rights.
