The Navajo Nation plans to break ground on its first casino after securing a $100 million loan for its gaming operation.
The first casino will be located in Church Rock, near Gallup, New Mexico. The facility -- which will be temporary -- is expected to open in summer 2008.
The tribe plans to open up to five other casinos in New Mexico and Arizona. The tribe signed Class III compacts in both states.
