The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut is trying to stop a union vote at its Foxwoods Resort Casino.
The tribe filed a motion with the National Labor Relations Board to put the vote on hold .The election for the United Auto Workers union is set for this Saturday.
The tribe asserts that the NLRB lacks jurisdiction at the casino. The tribe says federal labor law infringes on tribal sovereignty.
The union is seeking to represent about 3,000 dealers at Foxwoods, the largest casino in the world.
