Thursday, November 15, 2007
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut plans to spend $200 million on upgrades to its Foxwoods Resort Casino. The project will start with $55 million in renovations to the lobby of the Grand Pequot Tower. Plans call for a new steakhouse and a smaller eatery, along with several high-end boutiques. The renovations include a passage way that will connect Foxwoods to the new MGM Grand at Foxwoods. The $700 million MGM casino is the result of a branding and business partnership between the tribe and MGM Grand. It will open in May 2008. Get the Story:
