Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (R) is expected to announce a Class III gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe.
The compact would allow the tribe to operate slot machines and baccarat . In exchange, the state would receive 10 percent of revenues from the games.
The deal is estimated to bring in about $100 million a year for the state in a time of a budget crisis. But Democratic and Republican lawmakers suggested lawsuits were inevitable.
Voters in south Florida legalized slot machines in 2004. The Interior Department said it would allow the tribe to offer the games if the state couldn't come to an agreement.
