Anti-casino group holds first rally in Massachusetts

A group called CasinofreeMass launched its bid to stop the legalization of casino-style gaming in Massachusetts. About 150 people turned up for the meeting. Almost all of them appeared to oppose plans to legalize gaming in Massachusetts. Gov. Deval Patrick (D) has proposed legislation to create up to three commercial casinos. He says tribal applicant will be given preference. The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe has started the land-into-trust process to open a casino in the town of Middleboro. Get the Story:
