Elders of the Quechan Nation say they won't stop fighting a casino that they say is being built on sacred land.
The Pipa A'Koots group was founded by tribal elders to oppose the casino near Pine Knob.
They forced the tribe to hold a vote on the project, which passed last week.
Despite voters' blessing, the group says the casino should not go forward.
"We are not going to sit back and say this is the end of it. We are going to move forward in other directions that will impact this situation," elder Vernon Smith told The Yuma Sun.
The $200 million Quechan Casino Resort includes a casino, hotel, events center and restaurants.
It is located near Yuma, on the Arizona side of the tribe's reservation.
