The Middletown Rancheria Pomo Indians began construction on a $36 million expansion of its casino in northern California.
The tribe is currently operating a casino in a tent-like structure. The permanent facility will be four times the size.
The expansion is one of five casino projects in Lake County. Three tribes already operate casinos while two more are getting into the game.
