The Florida Senate's Regulated Industries Committee is holding a hearing today to discuss Class III gaming compact issues.
Gov. Charlie Crist (R) is currently negotiating a compact with the Seminole Tribe. The deal will allow slot machines and possibly other Class III games.
Key lawmakers say the tribe is only entitled to slot machines. They also say they have final approval over any deal.
The tribe operates several gaming facilities in the state and is unveiling a $120 million expansion of its Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa.
