"Most of us cannot even comprehend how much money $1 billion is. But many of us and visitors from elsewhere pumped that much into Mohegan Sun in July, setting a new record. And that was just for the slot machines. It's anyone's guess how much money was donated to the casino on table games or spent in restaurants and shopping.
Foxwoods Resort Casino added to that tally another $895 million, not a record month for the casino, but certainly not shabby. August has traditionally been an even better month for both casinos, so it will be interesting to see if the upward trend continues."
