Aaron Payment, the chairman of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, has been removed as chairman and CEO of the tribe's Detroit casino board.
Five members of the Greektown Casinos Management board voted to oust Payment last week.
But Payment says their move was illegal.
The tribe owns a majority stake in the Greektown Casino & Resort in Detroit.
