The Marion County Council voted 5-2 on Tuesday to approve a bingo hall for the Catawba Nation of South Carolina.
The tribe now plans to negotiate with the developers of the Carolina Entertainment Complex.
No final decisions have been made and the tribe recently elected new leaders.
The plans for the 250-acre site calls for an amphitheater, bingo hall, RV park, water park, hotel, equestrian facility and adult-living facility.
