The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation is considering gaming developments in the Caribbean.
Officials said gaming would not be a primary element of the development but the tribe has filed for a gaming license in St. Croix, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Bahamas are also being considered
The tribe operates the highly successful Foxwoods Resort Casino on its reservation and is financing tribal and non-tribal gaming projects in California and Pennsylvania.
