It took less than 72 hours for authorities to arrest three people in connection with the theft of $1.58 million from the casino owned by the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians.
But how did the case get solved so quickly? Law enforcement and prosecutors in Riverside County aren't talking to the media anymore, saying they will wait until the trial.
Most of the money has been recovered. The sheriff's department says the heist was the largest in the county's history. A spokesperson for the National Indian Gaming Commission said it might be the largest tribal casino theft.
Rolando Luda Ramos, 25, is alleged to be the ringleader. He worked at the casino as a security technician.
Eric Allen Magdaleno Aguilera, 23, allegedly drove the getaway car. His girlfriend, Sonya Marie Boyorquez, 23, is accused of helping the men avoid capture.
