Two people have pleaded not guilty in connection with the theft of $1.5 million from the casino owned by the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians.
Rolando Luda Ramos, 25, is believed to be the mastermind behind the heist. He worked as a security technician at the Soboba Casino and is charged with robbery and kidnapping for the incident last week.
Sonya Marie Boyorquez, 23, is charged with aiding and abetting the theft. She is the girlfriend of Eric Allen Magdaleno Aguilera, who allegedly drove the getaway car.
More than $1.5 million was taken from the casino. All but $29,130 has been recovered.
