Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (R) has offered the Seminole Tribe a Class III gaming compact in exchange for a share of the revenues.
The Miami Herald said the deal allows the tribe to operate slot machines, which are legal in the state, and the "exclusive right" to operate card games. Revenue sharing would start at $50 million in the first year, $75 million in the second year and $100 million in the third.
The "exclusive right" provision may or may not affect the Miccosukee Tribe, whose leaders have asked for a compact. Right now, Crist is only negotiating with the Seminoles.
The Interior Department gave the state until mid-August to come up with a deal with the Seminoles.
