The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is close to a deal with the town of Middleboro, a spokesperson said.
The tribe should reach an agreement by Friday, spokesperson Scott Ferson said. A town official agreed with the timetable.
The tribe has purchased 125 acres in the town and has options for 200 more. The tribe is willing to share revenues and pay for infrastructure improvements.
Once a deal is reached, it will go to town voters for approval on July 28.
