The Kalispel Tribe of Washington is planning a major expansion of its Northern Quest Casino.
The goal is turn the casino into a destination resort. The project would include a hotel, auditorium, restaurants and convention and meeting space.
The tribe hasn't finalized the details but has presented Spokane County with conceptual drawings...
A construction company from Kansas City and an architect from Memphis are on board.
The casino is located off the reservation. The Kalispel Tribe is one of three who have received a favorable two-part determination under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.
