The Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma is still interested a state-owned casino in Cherokee County, Kansas.
The tribe "strongly considering applying" for the casino, a spokesperson said. Reports that the tribe was longer interested are not correct, the spokesperson said.
The tribe is already planning on building a casino where Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas meet. The casino will be located in Oklahoma while the parking lot will be in Kansas.
