The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians in California wants to buy a casino in Henderson, Nevada, for $15 million.
The Roadhouse Casino is currently shuttered. But the tribe entered into escrow on the eight-acre parcel in hopes of selling it for a quick profit, former chairman Robert "Bobby" Salgado said.
Salgado told The Riverside Press-Enterprise that the tribe "felt there was an opportunity to buy a prime piece of property on a corner lot and maybe double or triple our money."
The tribe operates a casino on its reservation.
