The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut broke ground on a $740 million expansion to the Mohegan Sun Casino.
Project Horizon will be completed in four phases. By 2010, the casino will have a new 42,000-square-foot casino, a 1,500-person capacity House of Blues restaurant, a 16,000-square-foot Margaritaville restaurant, an additional 115,000-square-feet of retail space, a 1,000-room hotel, 3,600 more parking spaces and other amenities.
“We’re keeping up with the rest of the market,” Chairman Bruce 'Two Dogs' Boszum said, The Norwich Bulletin reported.
