The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe's proposal for a casino in the town of Middleboro has sparked a recall against local leaders.
The tribe hasn't made final decisions about the casino and still needs to clear several state and federal hurdles. But three local leaders who have been receptive to the idea will have to deal with a potential recall election in September.
The recall effort is supported by an anti-gaming group called CasinoFacts
The tribe has proposed sharing $7 million a year with the town, plus pay for $150 million in infrastructure improvements.
