In the past two years, the tribe's holdings have grown from 20 acres to 700 acres ."We're buying land everywhere," said Tribal Executive Eddie Goodridge Jr. told the paper.
The tribe wants to acquire up to 10,000 acres with the hopes of consolidating its services. The tribe also plans to expand the Angel of the Winds Casino.
Since the casino opened, the tribe has spent $10 million on land buys. Another $10 million will be spent this year.
