Gila River Tribe to discuss casino move with city
Tuesday, March 20, 2007
The Gila River Indian Community of Arizona will meet with the city of Chandler to discuss the relocation of one of the tribe's casinos. The tribe plans to move the Lone Butte casino closer to Chandler. That has city officials and some residents worried about traffic, crime and other impacts. The tribe says the move will cost $60 million. It comes as the tribe's much larger Wild Horse Pass Casino is being expanded and relocated closer to a major interstate. Get the Story:
