The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community of Minnesota is replacing its first gaming facility with a new casino.
The Little Six Casino began as a high-stakes bingo hall 25 years ago. It's now being replaced by a 25,000-square-foot facility set for a grand opening on New Year's Eve.
The tribe also operates the much larger Mystic Lake Casino. But Vice Chairman Glynn Crooks said customers like Little Six because it is smaller and more intimate.
