A report commissioned by the Seneca Nation of New York cites the tribe's $1.2 billion impact on the local and state economy.
The report highlights the tribe's gaming operation, which contributed $68 million to the state and employs nearly 5,200 people. The tribe signed a compact to operate up to three casinos, including two off-reservation.
The report also says the tribe generated $53 million in state taxes for its purchase of goods and services from local vendors.
