The Blackfeet Nation of Montana has fired the manager of its casino only three months after grand opening.
Gary Green was brought in to run the Glacier Peaks Casino. With a background in tribal gaming, he launched a Vegas-like campaign for the $7 million facility.
But the effort ran into some early difficulties. The casino made across-the-board salary cuts, laid off some employees, obtained a short-term loan and missed some vendor payments.
Siyeh, the tribe's economic development corporation, hope to hire a new manager within three to four months, a board member said.
