Prairie Band Potawatomi awaits casino takeover

The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation of Kansas is scheduled to take control of its casino from Harrah's Entertainment sometime before January 2008. The tribe opened Harrah's Prairie Band Hotel and Casino in January 1998 under a federally-approved management contract with Harrah's. The goal was to have the tribe take full control 10 years after the opening. The two sides are still discussing the transition but it might occur before January 2008. Get the Story:
