The Seminole Tribe of Florida won approval for the $965 million purchase of the Hard Rock enterprise on Thursday.
The tribe announced its offer for the Hard Rock name, restaurants and hotels last month. The Rank Group PLC shareholders approved the deal at a meeting in London.
The tribe operates two Hard Rock casinos and hotels on its land in Florida. There are 124 Hard Rock outlets worldwide.
The tribe faces a lawsuit from the manager of the Hard Rock casinos. The Cordish Co. claims the bidding was rigged.
