About 2,000 people filled the Mohegan Tribe's slot machine facility in Pennsylvania within minutes of its opening on Tuesday.
"I’m blown away," said chairman Bruce "Two Dogs" Bozsum, the Associated Press reported. "Unbelievable."
The 1,100 slot machines at the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs were occupied all day. The tribe will be installing a total of 2,000 slot machines.
Annual slot revenues are expected to be $167.9 million. Revenues will be shared with the local and state governments.
The tribe operates the highly successful Mohegan Sun Casino on its reservation in Connecticut.
