Foxwoods casino hosts World Series of Poker

Foxwoods Resort Casino, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe of Connecticut, hosted the World Series of Poker on Thursday.

Poker has enjoyed a surge of popularity due to televised games and big jackpot tournaments. The tribe has capitalized on the success by building the world's largest poker room.

Gaming experts say the game will continue to draw in players. But it could be affected by the new law that outlaws Internet gaming.
