Navajo Nation rejects deal with gaming company

The Navajo Nation has rejected a proposed agreement with a gaming company.

The tribe was in talks with Basha & De Rito Hospitality for consulting and development services. But the tribe says it won't be moving forward with a deal due to changing priorities and needs.

Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley Jr. said he is still committed to opening up to six casinos on the reservation. The first one is supposed to be located in Arizona, near Interstate 40.
