Navajo Navajo prepares to open first casino

The Navajo Nation is getting closer to opening its first casino.

The tribe has nearly completed agreements to build a temporary 22,300-square-foot structure along Interstate 40 in Arizona. President Joe Shirley Jr. promised movement in the next couple of weeks.

The tribe is still working on securing a site for a permanent casino. Five more casinos are being planned in other parts of the reservation.
