Study documents tribal gaming impact in Washington

A study prepared for the Washington Indian Gaming Association indicates that tribal casinos and other businesses generated more than $3.2 billion in revenue and employed more than 13,000 people in 2004.

The Tulalip Tribes, one of four communities profiled in the report, saw taxable sales rise to $311 million. The state took a $26 million cut, the report said.

The report was presented at the 2006 Northwest Indian Gaming Conference last week.
