Connecticut's two tribal casinos are already seeing a boost in business due to the shutdown of New Jersey's casinos on Wednesday.
Foxwoods Resort Casino, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, and Mohegan Sun, owned by the Mohegan Tribe, are reporting higher than average inquiries. Foxwoods has already added four bus lines to handle the additional traffic and Mohegan Sun plans to accept more bus charters.
The longer the New Jersey casinos are closed, the more the tribes will benefit. The casinos were shut down due to a budget impasse.
