The La Posta Band of Mission Indians hopes its small casino will lure gamblers in a county that is already home to eight other tribal gaming facilities.
The 20,000-square-foot La Posta Casino will be San Diego County's smallest. It will house just 349 slot machines, less than half as many at the Camp Band's casino just a mile away.
Other larger facilities are also located on the way to La Posta. But tribal business manager James Hill says gamblers looking for more personal service will be able to find it when the casino opens later this year.
