New Mexico tribe seeks approval for first casino

Nambe Pueblo in northern New Mexico is seeking approval to build its first casino.

The 150,000-square-foot facility would be located on the tribe's reservation north of Santa Fe. It will feature 50,000 square-feet of gaming space, a hotel, restaurants and other amenities.

The National Indian Gaming Commission is currently reviewing the plans as part of the approval process for a management contract between the tribe and Full House Resorts. An informational meeting was held in Santa Fe on June 6.
